Brilhou is an experimental platform designed to encourage recognition among teams. We operate free of charge and are currently in the validation phase.

2. What Data We Collect

We currently do not collect sensitive personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, or health information).

Brilhou accesses only the data strictly necessary for the platform to function, obtained through its integration with Slack:

  • Slack user name and ID;

  • Only and exclusively the content of messages submitted through the recognition form integrated into the Brilhou system, for the purpose of analyzing organizational patterns, generating reports and insights for the leadership of the contracting company, and identifying team dynamics. The use of this data for any purpose other than those described herein is prohibited.
     

3. Legal Basis for Data Processing

Data processing is carried out on the following legal bases:

  • User consent (Article 7, item I, of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law — LGPD), when authorizing the platform's integration with Slack;

  • The legitimate interests of the data controller (Article 7, item IX, of the LGPD), to enable the tool's operation and continuous improvement.

We do not process data for commercial or advertising purposes, nor do we process data for the purpose of sharing it with third parties.
 

4. How We Use Information

We use the data exclusively to:

  • Generate visualizations and statistics on recognition among team members;

  • Provide insights for team leaders;

  • Improve the platform's user experience and performance.

We do not send promotional communications or use data for marketing purposes.
 

5. Data Sharing

Brilhou does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.

The data processed is restricted to the team's environment within Slack, in accordance with the permissions granted by the user.

The integration is subject to Slack's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Slack acts as an independent data controller for the data under its responsibility.

We also recommend that users review Slack's Privacy Policy.
 

6. Data Storage and Retention

The data processed by Brilhou is stored in secure and protected environments, using cloud service providers that adopt international information security standards.

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Data may be deleted or anonymized upon request by the data subject or upon termination of the use of the platform.
 

7. Uninstallation of the Slack Integration

Upon uninstallation of the Brilhou application, the access credentials for the Slack integration are revoked, thereby stopping the collection of new data through that integration.

Previously recorded data remains stored for historical purposes and to ensure continuity of the organization's information until it is deleted or anonymized upon request by the contracting company or the data subject, as applicable, by contacting privacidade@brilhou.vc, subject to applicable legal obligations.
 

8. Information Security

We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction.

Although we operate on an experimental basis, we apply security best practices appropriate to the size and nature of our operations.
 

9. Data Subject Rights

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you have the right to:

  • Confirm whether your personal data is being processed;

  • Access, correct, or update your information;

  • Request the anonymization, blocking, or deletion of your data;

  • Withdraw your consent at any time;

  • Request the portability of your data to another service provider.

Requests will be handled within the time limits established by applicable law.
 

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect improvements or legal and operational changes.

If significant changes occur, we will notify users by email or through a notice on the platform itself before the changes take effect.

The latest version of this Policy will always be available on our website.
